Job Description
The project manager needs to ensure that business projects are executed effectively and efficiently. Management and administration of projects through the development and maintenance of project methodologies, standards, forums and tools. Striving to standardise and drive good engineering governance and excellence in the execution of projects.

Developing and leading the project
The project office is a ‘Centre of Excellence’ that helps achieve better quality, consistency and oversight of projects across an enterprise by developing and maintaining project management methodologies, standards and tools
- Project management governance and administration
- Project management team leadership
- Project tracking and monitoring according to standards
- Project prioritisation
Establishing the organisation’s approach to the full life cycle of projects.
This includes everything from project planning, initiation, resourcing and execution to monitoring, control and completion
Managing the maturity of the projects and teams involved in both Agile and BusDevOps methodologies.
Manage the software development lifecycle
Manage and perform detailed analysis
Plan sprints and manage scrums
Run sprints and execute testing
Deploy to production
Monitor Post-Deployment and return of investment including benefit realisation
Ensuring the project meets performance targets
Align with the organisation’s strategic objectives and adhere to best practice
People Management
Managing resource capacity and cross skill growth opportunities. Developing and growing people, focusing on the teams core strengths and skills. Building and maintain a healthy talent pool for this business unit and those supporting. Managing and maintaining an updated performance matrix, participating in regular people reviews and coaching. Building a trusting and safe environment with an emphasis on problem-solving.
Reporting and Information Management
Ensuring data and information is maintained and accurate for the business unit and its functions. Ensuring that volumes and strategic objective targets are met for the assigned business functions. Maintain data and information relevant to service and operations for the purpose of conducting analyses that influence service specific decision making. Proficiency in financial analysis, being able to identify opportunities and the development of financially viable long-term service and operation plans. Manage and run daily stand-ups, providing feedback and updates on all projects.
Client and Perception Management
Responsible for assessing, clarifying, and validating all stakeholders needs on an ongoing basis, maintaining high client satisfaction ratings that are up to the business’s standards
Best Practise and Continuous Improvement
Identifying opportunities by evaluating current project trends, best practise research and principles
Working closely with all business units to enhance and promote positive feedback loops and improvements
Work closely with all teams coaching and mentoring the team’s development and professional skills
Strategy
Implement and lead business campaign strategies. Management of the team’s budgets, targets, performance objectives, standards and projects
Collaboration and Communication
Improve and drive cross-functional team collaboration through accurate and focused forms of communication
Liaise with external vendors and partners.
Qualifications
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
PERSON DETAILS: WORK EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
3 years of experience as a Project Manager, Program Manager or PMO experience
Project scheduling, Strategic Planning and Project Lifecycle Management
PREFERRED
Proven track record of successful project delivery, an ability to improve project management practices and substantial team leadership experience with a focus on team development.

3-5 years technical and digital tools experience
Sound foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure and architecture
Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical terms.
