Job Description

The Brand Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining corporate and product brand awareness and understanding in line with Kaelo Guiding principles and personality.Working across all levels and departments of our organisation to communicate our purpose to all relevant stakeholders both internal and external.The day-to-day planning, implementation and short term strategic marketing activities of the Kaelo products and services in order to drive growth, profit and marketing objectives in line with broad organisation goals.

Enabling the business through strong partnerships to achieve the overarching business objectives.

Design to deliver on key customer insights and deliver innovative marketing campaigns through translating brand elements into plans and go-to-market strategies.

Driving and building marketing capability with a strategic mind set and service design approach, appropriately shaping and communicating our defined vision and mission.

Strategy

  • Management of the teams budgets, targets, performance objectives, standards and projects.
  • To the assist with implementation of the marketing, brand and communication strategy with an understanding of the impact across the business
  • Assist with brand and campaign management (internal and external).
  • A thorough understanding of the relevant healthcare environment and competitor environment to ensure proactive response where required
  • A thorough understanding of our customer segments to ensure appropriate campaigns and engagement strategies are developed
  •  A thorough understanding of digital and social platforms and the management thereof.

Design

  • To conceptualize and create engaging and creative communication campaigns, suitable for a defined target market (both internal & external)
  • Write, edit, proof-read and check content for a variety of marketing and communication material (Digital, print material, website, social media platforms, etc.)

Partner Management

  • To co-ordinate / liaise with agencies, suppliers and partners in order to effectively implement the strategy
  • Preparing, briefing in and liaising with advertising agencies and design resources regarding creative briefs
  • Ensuring that briefs are met timeously 7 company, product & service standards are consistently maintained
  • Brief and work with graphic designers to ensure consistently high standards of products & services are met

Relationship Management

  • Building and maintaining relationships with business, suppliers and partners
  • Team work and understanding across sales and CRM teams and driving team integration

People Management

Managing resource capacity and cross skill growth opportunities. Developing and growing people, focusing on the teams core strengths and skills. Building and maintain a healthy talent pool for this business unit. Managing and maintaining an updated performance matrix, participating in regular people reviews.

Reporting and Information Management

Ensuring data and information is maintained and accurate for the business unit and its functions. Ensuring that volumes and strategic objective targets are met for the assigned business functions. Maintain data and information relevant to service and operations for the purpose of conducting analyses that influence service specific decision making. Proficiency in financial analysis, being able to identify opportunities and the development of financially viable long-term service and operation plans.

Client and Perception Management

Responsible for assessing, clarifying, and validating the client and intermediary needs on an ongoing basis, maintaining high client satisfaction ratings that are up to the business’s standards.

Best Practise and Continuous Improvement

Identifying opportunities by evaluating current business trends, best practise research and principles.

Working closely with all business units to enhance and promote positive feedback loops and improvements.

Works closely with all managers and teams coaching and mentoring the team’s development and professional skills.

Collaboration and Communication

Improve and drive cross-functional team collaboration through accurate and focused forms of communication.

PERSON DETAILS : WORK EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED

Minimum of 4 to 7 years’ experience in Advertising, Internal Communications or Marketing

Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and communicate recommendations to executives

Proven digital experience and proficiency with email management systems and digital and social platforms.

 

PREFERRED

Experience in the healthcare &/ insurance industry advantageous

EDUCATION : QUALIFICATIONS : ACCREDITATIONS WITH PROFESSIONAL BODY

REQUIRED

Appropriate tertiary qualification (B degree in Marketing / Communications)
