Job Description

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our talented operations team.  As the Staff Accountant, you will work with the finance team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting related to accounts receivable.  We are looking for someone who can think critically to resolve issues as they arise, pay attention to details to ensure accuracy, a professional demeanor in all interactions, and a mindset to always look for more efficient ways to complete a task.  This individual must independently manage their responsibilities while being a solid representative of KSMC’s culture and core values.   

Here’s what a typical day for you might look like:

Accounts Receivable:

  • Receives and posts cash receipts to the general ledger
  • Prepares reconciliation of accounts receivable accounts
  • Corresponds with internal account managers and responds to inquiries;
  • Performs other required tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain up-to-date billing system
  • Generate and send out invoices
  • Follow up on, collect and allocate payments
  • Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
  • Maintain up-to-date billing system

Qualifications

Some of the qualifications and skills we are expecting include the following:

  • 1+ years experience in Accounts Receivable role
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and accounting software
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to engage and resolve wide-ranging requests and changes
