Job Description
As Senior Associate, you will be responsible for the delivery of top quality audit engagements from planning through to completion.
Alongside audit delivery work, you will also provide support and supervision to junior team members, and provide coaching and development to help them reach their full potential. This will include planning and reviewing their work to ensure a positive learning experience and high quality delivery to the client.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of stakeholder relationships and can expect to work with senior level staff. You will work closely with the Audit Manager, Senior Manager, Director and Partner, ensuring that they are kept up to date with progress, involving them where needed in all phases of the audit and if issues arise.
What you’d be doing:
- Conducting the planning and execution of audit fieldwork.
- Supervising and coaching junior members of staff.
- Reviewing the audit work performed by junior team members.
- Project managing the audit delivery, including timelines, team briefings, team supervision, delivery of audit work, and reviews by more senior team members, including Directors and Partners.
- Building relationships with the engagement and client employee teams.
- Being the first point of contact for the client.
Qualifications
- A completed Master's degree and a completed or almost complete certificate in accounting (RA, ACCA, CA, CPA).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in external audit.
- Relevant Dutch GAAP and IFRS experience essential, with US GAAP / PCAOB, an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills (both written and spoken) in Dutch and English.
