Senior Consultant, Project Advisory & Internal Audit (Brisbane)

Job Description

Our Project Advisory & Audit team are leaders in delivering major project audits and project advisory services to clients and their contractors. 

We are part of our wider Project and Program Delivery team that strategically partner with clients to increase project success by addressing challenges in developing and delivering major infrastructure projects and programs of work.

We deliver internal audit; project assurance and contract compliance advice using data-driven tools and methodologies and provide practical and reliable project support services.

Forming part of the Project Advisory & Audit team you will play a key role in: 

  • Reviewing and auditing procurement processes and project spend for major project contract compliance.
  • Performing commercial and financial analysis of contractor bids as part of tender award evaluations.
  • Reviewing transaction and financial data from delivery Contractors and assess the effectiveness of commercial, financial and project controls systems and processes.
  • Performing on-site reviews to assess the strengths of key governance and commercial processes and controls.
  • Work closely with client staff to understand systems, processes and controls in relation to delivery of infrastructure projects.

How are you extraordinary?

  • You have recent experience in providing internal audit, financial audit or contract assurance services.
  • You are passionate about giving project owners real-time, objective feedback on contractual compliance, financial control, cost management, project controls and other project risks.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting / Commerce / Finance / Economics.
  • The ability to prepare comprehensive reports and engage with clients.
  • The ability to maintain relationships and build a strong team culture. 
  • Problem solving skills to tackle issues and reach conclusions.
  • Previous consulting and/or advisory skills and experiences are favourable.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise while having attention to detail.
