Director / Consulting - Transformation Program Management

Job Description
As a Director in the Transformation Delivery and Change team, you will lead high-impact transformation programs within the Energy, Mining and Utilities sectors. You will work closely with senior executives and stakeholders to design and execute strategies that drive operational excellence, enhance organisational agility, and deliver measurable results. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, project and program delivery expertise, and deep industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead the design and delivery of complex transformation programs, including digital transformations, operational overhauls, and technology implementations.
- Develop and execute strategies that align with client objectives and industry trends in the Energy, Mining and Utilities sectors.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, providing insights and recommendations to address critical business challenges.
Program Delivery:
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of transformation initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Manage cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving accountability.
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring successful program outcomes.
Client Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Represent KPMG as a thought leader in the EMP sector, contributing to industry forums, events, and publications.
Sales and Business Development:
- Lead consulting sales efforts by identifying, pursuing, and converting new business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, leveraging your network and market insights to identify client needs and position KPMG’s solutions effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams to craft compelling proposals, presentations, and value propositions tailored to client challenges.
- Represent KPMG as a thought leader in the industry, contributing to industry forums, events, and publications to enhance market presence.
Team Development:
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Drive knowledge sharing and collaboration across the Transformation Delivery team and broader KPMG network.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in leading large-scale transformation programs, preferably within the Energy, Mining, and Utilities sectors.
- Strong understanding of industry trends, challenges, and opportunities in the sector.
- Expertise in program and project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary teams and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MBA) are highly regarded.
