Your Opportunity
As a Senior Consultant, you’ll play a key role in the delivery of high-impact consulting engagements across a variety of sectors. You will work closely with clients and KPMG teams to analyse problems, develop insights and support the implementation of solutions.
Your role will include:
- Supporting the delivery of strategy, transformation and operational improvement engagements
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis to assess performance, identify opportunities and inform recommendations
- Developing high-quality client deliverables, including presentations, reports and supporting analysis
- Contributing to workstream planning, coordination and day-to-day client engagement
- Building strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Coaching and supporting junior team members
- Contributing to business development activities, proposals and practice growth initiatives

Your Experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong consulting or industry experience, and the ability to deliver structured outcomes in complex environments. You will have:
Essential:
- Experience in management consulting or equivalent experience in strategy, transformation or operational roles in the public or private sector
- Experience delivering strategy, operational improvement or policy-related engagements or programs
- The ability to break down ambiguous problems using structured, logical approaches
- Experience developing business cases, baselines, benefits analysis and support informed decision-making
- Proven capability to translate analysis into clear, practical insights for senior stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A commercial, outcome-focused mindset and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Full working rights in Australia
Strongly preferred
- Experience supporting or leading defined workstreams on consulting or transformation engagements
- Exposure to strategy and/or policy development, operating model design, or large‑scale transformation initiatives
- Experience improving cost, performance, or customer outcomes through process or service redesign
- Ability to synthesise complex analysis into clear insights suitable for senior executive or board audiences
- Experience working with or managing senior stakeholders, including workshops and alignment sessions
- Background or experience in sectors such as Government, Health, Mining & Natural Resources
Desirable
- Experience leading defined workstreams
- Current or previous AGSV A security clearance
- A general understanding of the contemporary policy environment
Qualifications
- A degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Economics or a related discipline are desirable
- Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MBA) are desirable
- Professional certifications (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Agile) are desirable
