Job Description
The Protective Design Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing & Data Support Intern to join our team for a two-month engagement. This role is well-suited for a current college student pursuing Marketing, Library Science, Communications, or a related field, and looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional, corporate environment.
The intern will support both marketing research initiatives and internal data management efforts, with a strong emphasis on maintaining accurate, well-structured databases and improving access to project information.
POSITION DETAILS
- Compensation: $20.00/hour
- Duration: Approximately 2 months
- Primary Focus: Data integrity, marketing research, and internal knowledge management
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Data & Database Management
- Maintain, update, and verify internal databases to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Organize and standardize records for improved usability and long-term accessibility
- Marketing Research Support
- Conduct targeted research on clients, projects, and market trends
- Compile and synthesize information to support business development efforts
- Administrative & Operational Support
- Provide general administrative assistance to support ongoing projects
- Help ensure tasks stay on track and deadlines are met
- Process Improvement & Digital Tools
- Assist in developing and organizing template libraries
- Support process improvements, including exploration of AI tools to streamline workflows
SPECIFIC TASKS MAY INCLUDE
- Populating and maintaining CRM spreadsheets for business development tracking
- Researching and consolidating project data (e.g., construction dates, costs, images, and key details)
- Supporting the development and organization of a centralized templates database
- Assisting with the creation of AI-driven tools or agents to improve efficiency
- Aiding in project archiving and records management processes
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Library Science, Communications, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate work
- Highly organized and able to manage repetitive tasks efficiently
- Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and within a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.) and familiarity with SharePoint or similar platforms
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES
- Interest in data organization, knowledge management, or information systems
- Curiosity about how AI and automation can improve workflows
- Ability to work methodically while maintaining productivity
