Job Description
Overall Purpose of Job:
Junior Sustainability Analyst will support the development and execution of Sustainability strategy of KOSTAL Group by developing and managing sustainability data gathering processes in collaboration with internal partners across the company.
Reporting to the Global Head of Sustainability, the junior sustainability analyst, In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, will support KOSTAL Groups’s data management system for environmental, social and governance reporting. In cooperation with relevant functions. In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, managing and responding sustainability related external requests, maintaining the appropriate reporting systems and documentation.
Sustainability analyst will support the controlling of sustainability data with internal partners, provide data foundation and regular reporting for the KOSTAL Group’s ESG reporting to the Executive Leadership Team and external partners.
By developing strong connections with our global internal network, Junior Sustainability Analyst should be one of the subject matter experts supporting the internal partners, including performing training sessions.
Junior Sustainability Analyst will actively take part in global sustainability projects and communication activities to support the execution of KOSTAL Groups’ global sustainability strategy.
Main tasks, roles and responsibilities:
- Support the execution of KOSTAL Groups’ ESG strategy working with various functions globally.
- Develop, implement and maintain systems for gathering environmental, social and governance data.
- Work with large and complex data related to ESG datasets, track ESG KPIs, prepare reports, provide information on strategic sustainability, project goals, objectives, and initiatives in collaboration with other departments.
- In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, managing and responding sustainability related external requests, maintaining the appropriate reporting systems and documentation.
- Maintaining up to date information with sustainability related external requirements, ensuring that strategic priorities are aligned with sustainability related external stakeholders’ expectations.
- Work with large and complex data related to ESG datasets, track ESG KPIs, prepare reports, provide information on strategic sustainability, project goals, objectives, and initiatives in collaboration with other departments.
- Supporting the sustainability analyst in the product carbon footprint calculation, and product life cycle assessment process.
- In cooperation with the sustainability analyst, verify sustainability information to accuracy the accuracy of KOSTAL Groups’ sustainability information.
- Support internal verification and audit of sustainability data and metrics.
- Provide internal stakeholder training on Sustainability data gathering and reporting.
- Support sustainability related disclosure processes CDP, ECOVADIS, Drive+ and other customer specific information requests.
- Support the Sustainability project specialist in the execution of global sustainability projects and communication activities.
- Learning and managing new technical skills, processes and systems as required.
Qualifications
Experiences and requirements:
- College or University degree – education with studies in sustainability, communications related topics
- 1+ years experience in the field of sustainability
- Excellent MS office skills
- Basic knowledge of ESG principles, reporting standards, ratings, and frameworks (i.e., GRI, GHG Protocol)
- Fluent in English
- German, and other languages of KOSTAL locations are a plus.
- Remote work, with an occasional KBS office presence
