Job Description
Overall Purpose of Job:
This role is key to deliver a complete and accurate financial statement for all the in scope KOSTAL entities. Understand the connections between financial processes and their impact to the financial statement. Have a good understanding of each financial statement key sections to be able to identify anomalies, or inconsistencies.
- Main tasks, roles and responsibilities:
- Involved in the transition of General Ledger accounting processes from various KOSTAL entities to KBS
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of accounting data, including additional analysis, schedules and research
- Ensure and perform local statutory accounting for the legal entities in compliance with the respective local GAAP, including preparation of statutory financial reports
- Ensure a reporting package for the group consolidation in accordance with German GAAP
- Lead a team of Accountants and supervise team delivery of month-end closings, general ledger account analysis and reconciliations as well as asset ledger analysis
- Contribute to preparation and review of management reports and financial information analysis on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Manage ongoing operations of the team. Plan and monitor the capacity and workload of the team, hire additional team members according to anticipated workload
- Coordination and controlling of the knowledge transfer and ensuring seamless post go-live stabilization of finance processes in scope
- Contribute to define a closing schedule to speed up closing procedures, in close alignment with the Global Process Head/ Finance Head
- Lead by example a cross-functional collaboration, create a motivating working atmosphere and actively drive the change management
- Coach and motivate team members
- Participate and lead projects assigned to the role (incl. Process optimization)
- Identify, evaluate and resolve issues (incl. process improvements)
- Adherent to agreed service levels, policies and procedures
- Contribute in defining and implementing internal controls; be responsible of regular execution
- Interact with external auditors
- Engage in collaboration with the business and stakeholders to develop a professional relationship
- Provide qualitative customer service; establish KPI’s to track GL
- Performance in close alignment with the Global Process Head for GL
Qualifications
Experiences and requirements:
Education:
- University or college degree in Economics or Finance
- Accounting degree, also the Hungarian
- National accounting certificate is an advantage
Work experiences – time/seniority/ sector:
- At least 5 -10 years of experience in Accounting (end-to-end GL)
- At least 2-5 years of leaderships experience
Technical/ IT knowledge:
- Complete familiarity with SAP Fi Module
- Good knowlege pf Microsoft Office or equivalent tools
Language – with level:
- Fluent in English
