Job Description

We are looking for experienced Delivery Manager to support a client-facing migration and implementation program, embedded within the client's existing team in Sydney. The role sits at the intersection of technical delivery and client relationship management-owning implementations end-to-end while working directly with client stakeholders, engineers, and cross-functional teams. Strong client-facing communication, technical fluency, and the ability to manage delivery under pressure are essential.

Engagement type: initial 3–4 month engagement with potential extension based on program requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of assigned client implementations — from kickoff and planning through execution, go-live, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client throughout the implementation lifecycle, managing expectations and communicating status transparently, including when things are behind plan.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, QA, and product teams to ensure implementation quality, functional parity, and data integrity before go-live/cutover.
  • Manage client-specific configuration and integration considerations (e.g. system access, data migration, connectivity, third-party integrations) that may affect go-live readiness.
  • Identify, escalate, and mitigate delivery risks and issues (technical gaps, data inconsistencies, execution blockers) while maintaining delivery momentum.
  • Plan and coordinate cutover/go-live activities, ensuring smooth transition and post-launch system stability.
  • Manage scope changes and client requests, balancing client expectations against delivery commitments and contractual scope.
  • Build trust with client stakeholders through direct, solutions-oriented communication — able to explain technical issues in business terms and vice versa.
  • Operate effectively across multiple concurrent implementations or client accounts, managing competing priorities without compromising quality.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a client-facing delivery/implementation role — implementation management, project/program management, or technical delivery in a customer-facing capacity.
  • Experience in industries with regulatory or operational complexity is a strong plus (e.g. banking, payments, fintech, or other regulated/enterprise SaaS environments).
  • Sufficient technical fluency to engage credibly with engineering teams and assess whether a technical issue is genuinely difficult or simply being deprioritized — hands-on technical background (development, systems, or infrastructure) is a strong plus, though not required to still be actively coding.
  • Track record of running live implementations, onboarding, or system cutovers where continuity for the end customer was critical.
  • Strong stakeholder management and risk/issue management skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal — comfortable being the direct point of contact for client escalations.
  • Sydney-based, available to work on-site/hybrid as required by the client.
