Job Description
The Student Enrollment department is focused on ensuring that schools are fully enrolled so that students are free to create the future they want for themselves and their communities. The team supports this vision through application acquisition and family onboarding, cultivation, and persistence. The Managing Director of Marketing will lead the strategy and execution to attract prospective students and staff to our network while building a unified KIPP Texas brand. This role designs and executes comprehensive, data-driven marketing campaigns to build brand awareness, drive prospective family inquiry pipelines, achieve 100% student enrollment targets, and strengthen employer branding to attract top-tier instructional talent.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the development and implementation of student and staff marketing
Develop and execute an annual network-wide marketing plan aligned with organizational strategies and enrollment goals.
Work with established media partner(s) to plan and place media buys across media markets to support Student Recruitment Campaign; drive execution of materials, which includes writing creative briefs, copywriting, and providing design direction.
Track applicant acquisition costs and stay within designated ceilings.
Manage the marketing and enrollment budget, optimizing spending across digital ads, community events, and creative collateral to maximize ROI.
Collaborate with the Talent team to market career opportunities, elevating the network's profile as an employer of choice for educators.
Steward the KIPP Texas Brand
Lead brand campaigns that position KIPP Texas as a leader in education and a values-driven organization.
Oversee brand identity and messaging across all digital, print, social media, and traditional advertising channels to ensure consistency and public trust.
Serve as the point-person for developing, implementing and executing marketing initiatives and activities for KIPP Texas’ holistic brand.
Create and execute an accountability system that measures KIPP Texas’ brand impression in each region.
Analyze brand positioning and consumer insights by establishing baseline brand awareness metrics and developing system to improve and measure over time.
Recruit, hire, onboard, develop and lead a high-performing team
Builds a strong and diverse team with an inclusive culture that leverages each team member’s strengths and ignites actions.
Customizes onboarding practices to ensure each new team member is set up for success based on the unique responsibilities of their role.
Manages and coaches direct reports toward operational excellence and long-term career growth.
Establishes ongoing, regular cadence to facilitate collaboration, training and support of the team.
Monitors team performance and goal progress to ensure alignment with annual goals.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations preferred or bachelor’s degree and three additional years of experience in marketing
7+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a multi-site education setting (Charter School Management Organization, Private School Network, or K–12 District).
Demonstrated success in student recruitment, digital sales/inquiry funnel management, and campaign ROI delivery.
Hands-on experience with CRM systems (e.g., SchoolMint, HubSpot), Google Analytics, and paid digital ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta Business Suite).
Exceptional storytelling, written execution, public speaking, and crisis-response skills.
COMPETENCY AND SKILLS:
Deep commitment to educational equity and choice in the K–12 public charter sector.
Strong ability to turn complex analytics into actionable marketing adjustments.
Proven resilience in a fast-paced, multi-campus environment while balancing competing, time-sensitive priorities.
Demonstrated cultural competence in designing inclusive, multilingual marketing campaigns that resonate with diverse community demographics.

Work Environment:
Hybrid work - Reports to the central office or schools three days a week.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel: May travel to other school sites or regional offices for professional learning, meetings and other work related activities.
