Job Description

Here' what you should know:

As an Operations Coordinator, you will be the cornerstone of smooth and effective school operations. Your role involves being the first point of contact for families, students, and community members, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment in our main office. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall success of the school's operations, from managing communications to maintaining student files and supporting daily operational needs.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Front Desk Management: Welcome visitors, answer calls, and manage the visitor management system.
  • Administrative Support: Handle inquiries, assist with schoolwide communications, and manage office supplies.
  • Student Enrollment & Attendance: Support enrollment processes, maintain student records, and participate in efforts to improve attendance.
  • Operations Support: Assist with school events, maintain a clean and organized office, and contribute to the smooth operation of school systems.
  • Technology & Data Management: Maintain office technology, assist with Tier 1 technology support, and ensure accuracy in information systems.

Metrics of Success:

  • Maintain an average annual score of 3.0 or higher on internal walk-through (Ops EKG)
  • Achieve school targets for student attendance and enrollment.
  • Ensure 100% visitor sign-in compliance and secure badge distribution.
  • Maintain high family engagement as measured by the TNTP Insight Survey

 

Qualifications

Must Haves:

Skills

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and keyboarding

Abilities

  • Perform duties with a high degree of professionalism, customer-service, and positive energy
  • Can work with a team on collaborative projects
  • Remain calm, flexible, and solutions-oriented in high-stress situations, competing priorities, and external pressures 
  • Do whatever it takes to ensure our teachers and students have what they need to be successful
  • Build strong relationships with and relate to a diverse population of students,
    families, colleagues, and community members
  • Self-starter and fast learner that can follow through independently on stated goals with high attention to detail

Nice-to-Haves

  • Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role
  • Previous experience in an educational or non-profit setting
  • Proficiency in Spanish; may be considered a “must-have” depending on population served
  • Bilingual proficiency in other languages represented in population
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Information

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $45,000-$50,000. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience.
