Job Description
Position Overview:
The Regional Assessment Coordinator will lead the development, implementation, and management of all assessment processes across KIPP Kansas City schools. This individual will ensure data accuracy, compliance with state and federal guidelines, and provide actionable insights to school and regional leadership. The Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting data-driven decision-making to advance student achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment Coordination and Implementation
- Oversee the administration of all standardized tests, including state assessments, district-mandated exams, and internal assessments.
- Develop and maintain the regional assessment calendar, ensuring alignment with state requirements and instructional needs.
- Provide training, resources, and technical support to school-based staff for assessment implementation.
Data Management and Reporting
- Ensure the accurate and timely collection, entry, and reporting of assessment data.
- Analyze assessment data and generate reports to support instructional decision-making and school improvement planning.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal assessment regulations.
Collaboration and Communication
- Partner with school leaders, teachers, and instructional coaches to align assessment strategies with academic goals.
- Serve as the primary liaison with state testing offices and external assessment vendors.
- Communicate assessment protocols, updates, and outcomes to stakeholders, including school staff and families.
Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate the effectiveness of assessment practices and recommend adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Stay informed on trends, policies, and best practices in educational assessments.
- Lead professional development sessions related to assessment literacy and data interpretation.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, data analytics, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in assessment administration, data analysis, or related roles in K-12 education.
