Job Description

Position Overview:

The Talent Coordinator is a vital role within KIPP Kansas City, focused on supporting the Talent Management functions under the guidance of the Senior Director of Talent. This role is responsible for facilitating the efficient administration of hiring, onboarding, employee records management, and talent development initiatives. The Talent Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring that talent management practices support the organization’s goals of attracting, developing, and retaining top educators and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition and Recruitment
    • Assist in the execution of talent acquisition strategies to attract and hire top talent.
    • Coordinate job postings, applicant tracking, and candidate screening processes to ensure a smooth recruitment workflow.
    • Support the interview process by scheduling interviews, preparing interview materials, and communicating with candidates.
  • Onboarding and Employee Integration
    • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation sessions and initial training programs.
    • Ensure all necessary employment documents are collected, verified, and maintained according to compliance standards.
    • Facilitate a seamless integration of new employees into the organization, enhancing their initial experience and long-term engagement.
  • Talent Development and Support
    • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs and professional development workshops.
    • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including materials preparation, venue setup, and participant communication.
    • Support the evaluation of training effectiveness and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in talent development practices.
    • Assist in event planning for recruitment or region wide retention events.
    • Manage the ordering, inventory and distribution of KIPP swag for employees

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR or talent management, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting.
  • Experience with HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.

Additional Information

Work Environment

  • Reports to work Monday-Friday and some weekends. 
  • A typical school or office environment with frequent interruptions.

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to work location.

Salary is based on years of experience, educational background, and level of expertise.
