Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW
Together with families and communities, the KIPP Texas Community Partnerships & Advocacy Department acts as a bridge to champion the KIPPster story to external partners and to expand resources and meaningful connections to transformational experiences so that our KIPPsters and their families can lead fulfilling lives and build a more just world.
The Manager of Partnership Engagement, a member of the Community Partnerships team in the Advancement Division, will be integral in creating high quality partner engagement experiences for KIPP Texas schools, departments, and families . The Manager of Partnership Engagement & Advocacy, in collaboration with the Director of Community Partnerships, is charged with centralizing and scaling statewide partner service offerings to KIPP Texas schools across the state. The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience, be systems and process-driven, and will be adept at building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. This position will work closely with school leadership, state and regional teams to provide support for execution of partnership services. In addition, this role will collaborate with other members of the Advancement team to fulfill our division objective to create opportunity and increase access.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management:
Maintain the KIPP Texas Community Partner Services Database, including follow up to new partner inquiries, ensuring data is current, record keeping of partner engagement, analyzing metrics, and assisting with internal training and support
Project manage school- or regional- based coordination of partner resource events such as vaccination drives, book fairs, offsite partner experiences, etc.
Project manage statewide seasonal resource initiatives, such as Season of Gratitude or back-to-school supply donations
Oversee as project manager the Family Emergency Fund program and services
Working with the Marketing & Communications team, oversee the maintenance of the KIPP Texas Community Partnerships external website and internal intranet content and story sharing
Support regional and statewide Advocacy initiatives by attending diverse networking events in your region. Additionally, will focus on staying up to date on legislative bill development to push relevant partner engagement opportunities in alignment to legislative strategies.
Stakeholder Management:
In collaboration with the Director of Community Partnerships, create and implement a variety of engagement opportunities for KIPP Texas community partners at the campus, regional, and state levels
Internal and external stakeholder management to research and seek out new community partner opportunities to fulfill school requests, support enrollment/recruitment efforts, positively impact student attendance and academic achievement, and meet family needs
Support with record keeping of meeting discussions with new and prospective partners
Maintain relationships with partners supporting the work of the Community Partnerships Department through responsibilities such as updated MOUs or contract agreements, as well as meaningful connections throughout the year to build trust
Cross Functional Collaboration:
Alongside the Director of Community Partnerships, elevate the power and value of KIPP Texas Public Schools both statewide and regionally, for internal and external stakeholders, through process alignment, quantification of partner services, and increased resources for schools and families
In coordination with the Director of Community Partnerships, conduct an internal inquiry and ongoing assessment of partner relationships for schools and departments across the state
Support with record keeping of meeting discussions with internal KIPP Texas teams
Maintain relationships with other department leads with on timely responses and meaningful connections
Measurable Results:
In collaboration with the Director of Community Partnerships, gather impact data and develop KPI infographics on the state of partnerships to assess monthly and quarterly KIPP Texas partner engagement goals
Identify trends in data that support student retention and attendance through innovative partnership connections
Qualifications
Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree
2-3 years full-time professional experience working in a related non-profit or educational field
1-2 years partner development experience in a non-profit organization preferred
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Skilled in designing and implementing all aspects of a project
Able to manage multiple deadlines and be flexible when plans need to pivot and change
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders
Familiar with budget management
Strong knowledge of database management and data trends analysis
Highly motivated, resourceful, and self-directed learner
Team player who is able to work both collaboratively and independently
Solutions-oriented with a growth mindset
Has a sense of humor and genuinely shows appreciation for others
Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.) and Microsoft Outlook
Ability to work remotely, when needed

Depending on the region, the work schedule might include remote and in the office work
Travel Requirements:
Ability to travel to various KIPP Texas regions when needed, travel time not to exceed 25%
Travel may include consecutive days requiring overnight stay
Travel transportation may include car, bus, or air

Salary is based on years of experience, degree of education, and level of expertise.
