Job Description

Position Overview:

The KIPP NYC Manager, Student Enrollment - Data & Reporting is an essential role in making KIPP NYC’s student enrollment data accessible for all organizational levels in our region. They will support and maintain the development of tools, dashboards and protocols to align school and regional teams toward key enrollment goals and benchmarks, including attendance, retention, and application. Additionally, the Manager, Student Enrollment - Data & Reporting will support regional and school teams with real time data requests and serve as lead for internal CRM systems such as SchoolMint and Hubspot. 

The Manager will report to the Associate Director, Student Recruitment and Enrollment on the KIPP NYC External Affairs team.

This role is based in NYC and will require travel to our schools. Cadence and frequency of travel to schools is determined by your leadership team. If you relocate outside of a commutable distance or out of the state of NY, your employment will be subject to review, which may include separation from KIPP NYC. It is important that you notify HR if you move or have plans to relocate.

General Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Regional Systems and Support:

  • Develop and manage dashboards and tracking systems created for school and network-based teams
  • Create a year-long regional calendar of the key events for student enrollment data collection and analysis
  • Support the internal use and iteration on CRMs or data visualization through SchoolMint, Hubspot, Google Suite, and/or Tableau
  • Continuously improve processes to promote efficiency and accuracy of data collection and reporting structures for student enrollment, including the accuracy of ongoing student enrollment records across ATS and Powerschool
  • Support any student enrollment data compliance requests received from other teams within our regional team

School Support:

  • Provide actionable guidance and partnership to the Community Outreach team in monitoring trends and forecasting against targets
  • Support the creation and systematization of key regional school-facing processes to produce reliable, quantitative results to be shared across the enterprise.
  • Analyze historical trends to create benchmarks for key projects
  • As needed, provide in-person (school based) recruitment and enrollment support during critical times in the year (i.e. admissions lottery, first two weeks of the school year, etc.)

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with minimum 5 years of work experience in Data Management and Reporting, education industry preferred 
  • Demonstrated intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Office & Google Suite, especially data analysis and presentations using Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets 
  • Knowledge of database systems and data management; DOE systems, SchoolMint, and Powerschool highly preferred
  • Strong organization skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and presentation skills, as well as demonstrated ability to communicate using data in a clear, concise, and accessible manner to inform decisions and planning
  • Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to produce high-quality work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop productive working relationships with multiple stakeholders across the organization
  • Demonstrated passion for and a commitment to the KIPP mission for high-quality public education and the character traits we value

Additional Information

Compensation and Benefits:

KIPP NYC offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,340 to $92,700 per year. Salary ranges at KIPP NYC are standardized based on role level and role function. Individual salaries are determined through a lens of equity, accounting for years of experience relevant to the role and scope of responsibilities, and are benchmarked against others within the same salary band. Starting salaries typically fall in the lower half of the salary range, however they are ultimately determined by scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity.
