The Support Team at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools provides strategic, financial and operational support and oversight to all KIPP Metro Atlanta schools and drives initiatives designed to strengthen the schools’ academic programming and outcomes.

As a KIPP Metro Atlanta Teacher, your core responsibilities include:

Curriculum Development and Instruction

  • Adapt and execute a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum
  • Develop academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments
  • Use data to inform instructional decisions
  • Provide students with daily feedback on performance and plan for individual learning needs
  • Differentiate instruction to ensure that all students are progressing
  • In conjunction with Special Education Teachers, work to ensure that all IEPs and student needs are met both within and outside of the classroom

 Help Build a Positive School and Classroom Culture

  • Embody and maintain the school’s values, policies, and culture
  • Develop positive relationships with students, families, teachers, staff, and community members
  • Establish and maintain strong communication with all families and share progress
  • Show up for critical school events, including staff meetings, open houses, parent-teacher conferences, and more
  • Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students
  • Have fun and spread joy!

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Teaching Certification 
  • minimum of two years teaching experience in an under-resourced community 
  • A passion for being a part of a team-oriented, mission-driven school culture
  • Pass Criminal Background Check
  • Demonstrated commitment to closing the opportunity gap
