Job Description

The Manager of People Operations works closely with the Director of Human Resources to oversee and manage the HR department strategy, along with the administration of all HR functions and productivity to support the overall vision of the Human Resources department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and manages the routine and daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits and leave, employee relations, and enforcing organizational policies and practices.
  • Support the Director of Human Resources in the administration of employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Enhance communication techniques to increase regional and school understanding of Human Resources strategies, including policies, HRIS platform, benefits, financial wellness, and compensation.
  • Partners with the HR and Talent leadership team to understand and execute the organization's Human Resource and talent strategy, particularly regarding current and future organization needs and succession planning.
  • Adheres to organization policies and procedures; promotes and supports mission, vision, and values, including developing and participating in internal surveys and data collection for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Director of Human Resources to evaluate and improve KPPS’ wellness strategy through programs and initiatives intended to benefit the health and well-being of our employees.
  • Prepare executive and management reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University required
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Human Resources required; SHRM-CP/SCP is highly preferred
  • Prior experience using HRIS database systems and other relevant business software (G-Suite, MS Office Suite, etc.)
  • Compelling oral and written communication skills
  • Effective project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Extreme discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Demonstrated adaptability to work independently or within a team environment in a fast-paced and energetic culture
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule outside of regular business hours
  • Aptitude to create and work within an inclusive environment that honors and supports a diversity of backgrounds and perspectives

Compensation is competitive, and commensurate with experience. This role is full time, exempt.
