KIPP is a nonprofit network of college-preparatory, public charter schools with a 20-year track record of preparing students in educationally underserved communities for success in college and life. KIPP currently serves over 100,000 students in 242 schools across the country, including Indianapolis.  KIPP Indy Public Schools (KIPP Indy) was founded in 2004 with one class of fifth grade students and has grown to educate more than 1,000 students across three schools. By the 2022-2023 school year, KIPP Indy will educate nearly 1,500 students in the Martindale-Brightwood community on the Northeast side of Indianapolis. Job Description

The Student Enrollment Coordinator (SEC) will play an integral role in ensuring KIPP Indy’s ability to hit enrollment goals and maximize impact in the community. Reporting to the Associate Director of Student Enrollment, the SEC will play an essential role in supporting the execution of region-wide systems related to student enrollment, attendance, and records; and build relationships with current and prospective families.  

Student Enrollment & Attendance  

  • Support region-wide implementation of systems related to enrollment, attendance, and records
  • Collaborate with current and prospective families to complete registration, serving as an ambassador for our schools and mission
  • Support preparation and distribution of marketing and matriculation materials, such as mailers, flyers, yard signs, t-shirts, etc.
  • Support with staffing internal and community-based enrollment events
  • Support with student records management, including collecting and archiving records for current students and responding to external records requests
  • Collaborate with families and members of the operations team to support matriculation of new students, including transportation and uniforms

Team

  • Participate in weekly one on ones with Associate Director of Student Enrollment
  • Actively participate in collaborative team meetings
  • Attend, support, and engage in regional team meetings and development opportunities
  • Support campus procedures such as arrival, dismissal, and front office operations as needed

Qualifications

  • Track record of producing exceptional results
  • Experience within student/staff recruitment, and/or community/grassroots organizing (preferred)
  • Willingness to have a flexible schedule with evening and weekend hours
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to produce high quality work in a dynamic environment
  • Conversational in Spanish (preferred)

COMPENSATION
Salary is competitive, commensurate with experience, and includes benefits. Teachers are also eligible for performance-based bonuses.
