Our ideal candidate has experience developing and executing marketing campaigns and is comfortable with day-to-day marketing activities, as well as supporting long-term strategy. To excel in this role you must have a creative, problem-solving mindset, love working with data and storytelling, and have a deep commitment to equality in education. This role is part of our Team & Family CMO and will primarily support our growing KIPP Miami region with some overlap of responsibilities for the KIPP NJ region. This role will report to the Senior Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Create original and inspiring content that helps tell KIPP stories through various mediums (e.g., monthly newsletters, videos, website copy, social media content, enrollment materials, etc.)
  • Prepare and present post-campaign performance reports, including actionable insights 
  • Support a culture of commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Management of and driving growth for KIPP Miami’s social media presence
  • Coordinate department budget and manage invoicing process
  • Support press opportunities as needed
  • Partner heavily with our student recruitment and staff recruitment teams on the development and implementation of marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with external vendors as needed
  • Write and manage updates to press trackers and website newsrooms
  • Regularly update marketing materials in partnership with key stakeholders
  • Manage KIPP Miami content calendar

Qualifications

Required skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, and to meet and complete multiple deadlines and tasks
  • Commitment to organizational values 
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field
  • 3+ years experience in marketing or communications
  • Willingness and ability to travel to schools and events including after hours and on weekends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience executing marketing plans and campaigns
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others, build relationships across teams and communities, and manage multiple stakeholders 
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind; uses campaign results to inform strategy shifts
  • Experience with marketing automation and strong knowledge of digital marketing
  • Ability to proactively prioritize among competing goals and initiate process improvements
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback to colleagues and vendors

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with WordPress templates
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
  • Experience working in education or in nonprofit marketing/communications roles
