KIPP Metro Atlanta currently operates eleven KIPP schools including four primary schools, five middle schools, one K-7 school, and one high school, as well as the KIPP Forward program which supports students through college, career, and beyond. 

Job Description

The Operations Associate is responsible for serving as an additional layer of support for school operations by supporting each department in a way that augments the productivity of each ops team member.  

As a KIPP Metro Atlanta Operations Associate, your core responsibilities include:

  • Provides excellent customer service resulting in excellent stakeholder experiences
  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
  • Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories
  • Maintains security by following procedures; monitors visitor management system
  • Manages all calls, telecommunication, and PA system
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area through adherence to office procedures
  • File school documents as directed
  • Sort and distribute mail
  • Make one-to-one parent phone calls as directed
  • Manage after school care services and late pick-up
  • Provide general administrative support to school operations and leadership team

Qualifications

  • Minimum of High School Diploma
  • Experience with developing and maintaining productive working relationships students, parents, staff, and community members
  • Strategic and critical thinker; courteous and level-headed under pressure
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent follow-up and follow-through
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
  • Excellent customer service; strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, friendly, and adaptable personality; team player who is open to feedback
  • Computer literate and highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools and software; must be comfortable with the use of technology in an office environment
  • Committed to the mission of preparing educationally underserved children for excellent high schools and colleges.
  • Experience in education is preferred
