KIPP Metro Atlanta currently operates eleven KIPP schools including four primary schools, five middle schools, one K-7 school, and one high school, as well as the KIPP Forward program which supports students through college, career, and beyond. 

Job Description

KIPP Metro Atlanta seeks an energetic and organized School Performance Project Manager with experience in a fast-paced work environment to assist with the day-to-day operations and functioning of the School Performance Team.  The School Performance Team oversees all aspects of academics, school culture, and school leader development for KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools.  The School Performance Project Manager will work closely with the School Performance Team and cross-functionally with the Academic Support Team, school-based leadership teams, and the Support Team.

The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.  The School Performance Project Manager must have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.   

As a School Performance Project Manager, your core responsibilities include:

Project Management & School Performance Team Support

  • Serve as project manager for identified initiatives in support of the School Performance Team’s objectives and goals
  • Track, prioritize, and hold the School Performance Team accountable for tasks and project milestones to ensure progress to strategic goals
  • Complete critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting PPT presentations and personal correspondence
  • Research, prioritize, and follow-up on incoming issues and concerns for the School Performance Team, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature while determining appropriate next steps
  • Ensure the School Performance Team’s  time is maximized by expertly managing their calendar through prioritization of appointments, efficient booking of travel, and arranging in-person and virtual meetings
  • Coordinate all logistics related to School Performance Team meetings, observations, retreats, and team-building events including securing locations, preparing materials, ensuring working technology, and procuring food
  • Additional special projects as assigned

Administrative Support

  • Ensure consistent branding aligned to current KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools brand guidelines for all School Performance Team communications, events, and presentations 
  • Provide procurement support for School Performance Team members 
  • Manage communications with key stakeholders by writing and editing email correspondence and other written materials on behalf of School Performance Team members
  • Manage School Performance Team members' financial reports and reimbursement forms consistent with internal processes and deadlines and process invoices and payments for vendors
  • In conjunction with identified Support Team owners, coordinate regional celebrations and events

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Minimum 5 years similar work experience
  • Prior teaching experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and G-Suite (Docs, Sheets and Slides) required
  • Excellent written, oral, and verbal communication skills with an ability to tailor communications appropriately to audiences
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to work independently
  • Effective time management with an ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
  • Exceptional work ethic and flexibility to work long hours, when needed
  • Professional, friendly, and adaptable personality that works well with others and is open to feedback
