Today, KIPP Texas operates 59 public charter schools educating over 31,100 students across four regions – Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. Job Description

The Compensation Director is responsible for all aspects of Compensation for KIPP Texas Public Schools, a 3,800 employee organization.  This Director will also be responsible for various data functions for the Human Resources and Payroll teams, including data analysis, reporting, and data oversight.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, policies, and procedures;

  • Manage compensation functions, including survey participation, job evaluation, job description creation and maintenance, salary structure development, stipend structure development, incentive plan design, and associated analysis;

  • Perform benchmarking for external comps and monitor employee compensation ensuring internal equity;

  • Ensure that the pay scales comply with changing state and federal laws and regulations;

  • Provide data reporting for regularly scheduled data projects for Human Resources and Payroll.  Examples include:  PEIMS reporting, HR reports to the KIPP Foundation, E-Grants, and the like.

  • Fulfill ad hoc data requests for HR and Payroll.

  • Provide compensation reports and analysis.

  • Manage Human Resources and Payroll projects, as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year educational institution

  • 3-5 years experience working in a Human Resources and/or Compensation fields

  • Experience working in an educational setting preferred
