Job Description

The Bus Coordinator provides assistance to the Regional Manager of Transportation to ensure high levels of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.  Bus Coordinator is responsible for the safe and quality bus experience for all KIPPster to and from school.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

The Bus Coordinator is responsible for

Data entry: assist with the data collection of bus service metrics on ridership and change requests

  • Coordinate bus change request forms, manage and communicate change
  • Collect performance metrics, process the data acquired and follow up with missing entries
  • Enter data on visual representation of performance via dashboard, table or other reporting mechanisms required by Transportation Manager
  • Create and maintain updated rosters

Schedules: plan and execute meeting dates that will integrate school teams to bus service needs. 

  • Set up for school orientations in collaboration with Regional Manager of Transportation
  • Assist with BOY traffic duty and dismissal and arrival needs
  • Attend weekly meeting with vendors where additional responsibilities may be included

On time communication: practice a timely and clear communication method to support the quality and on time service of bus service. 

  • Meet with Regional Manager of Transportation to analyze data and find discrepancies and/or patterns. Help communicate these to vendor and work collaboratively to implement suggested time/route changes

Qualifications

Education and Knowledge:

  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience in school operations (preferred)
