Position Overview

 

Primary Goal:

  • To support the regional KIPP St. Louis enrollment team recruit and enroll KIPP St. Louis Public Schools. Recruiters will support and actively recruit for: Pre-K | Elementary | Middle | High School.

Position type: Part Time- Intern; Exempt; 2-4 months

Job Description

Student Recruitment Specialist (Intern Position) 

Start Date: MarchEnd Date: Aug  

  • Timeline: 1st wave March  2nd Wave: May  
  • Approx 4-6 month total 
  • $20 per hour | 15  minimum hours a week

  • Families are our partners in education. This role ensures that all parents have access to information about KIPP to make an informed choice that is best for their children. 
  • Having fully enrolled schools ensures that we are impacting as many families as possible and allows KIPP St. Louis to continue to serve students and communities.
  • Engaging the community is key to building a stronger foundation for our schools and students.

Student Recruitment Support Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Attend Student recruitment meetings 
  • Attend KIPP St. Louis recruitment events when appropriate 
  • Manage the enrollment process through Schoolmint and outreach to parents/guardians
  • Process all new applications that have been collected through the external recruitment efforts 
  • Attend recruitment strategy meetings to meet weekly new enrollment goals
  • Engage with community partners for KIPP (ex: daycares, churches, health centers,resource centers)
  • 15 hours per week attending recruitment events/meetings/etc
  • Call at least 50 leads per week to drive new applications (cold and warm calls)

Coaching and Development.

  • Weekly team meeting with Director of Enrollment and Student Recruitment for thought partnerships and support
  • PD connected to student recruitment, community and family engagement

Time Expectation 

  • 15 hours per week at minimum | 4-6 Months 
  • Afternoon, Evening and Weekend availability 

Payment

  • $20 per hour | Max 20-25 hours per week

Qualifications

  • Seeking a undergraduate or master's degree
  • 20 years or older
