Job Description

The Executive Education Center is looking for applicants to a the permanent vacant position:


Job Title: Sales and Advertisement Manager (of the Executive MBA Program)

Department: Bang College of Business (BCB)

Section/Unit: Executive Education Center (EEC)

Position reports to: Associate Dean of BCB for EEC


Job Purpose Summary:

To meet the sales and advertisement needs of KIMEP EEC Programs according to high mission and objectives of KIMEP, on an annual basis.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Providing administrative information to all visitors of EEC programs and promoting the programs.

To lead all sales efforts for the Center and its programs in accordance with overall KIMEP policy including, but not limited to:

Production of print materials

(Media) Advertising

T-marketing (including EEC website)

Exhibitions, trade shows, and conventions

Publicity and public relations

Coordinating data collection on potential candidates to EEC programs, update database on semester base.

Administering sales activities and representing EEC programs at various community, business and recruiting events - visiting and working with educational institutions, educational departments, city/oblast administration and companies/industry (in Almaty, regions of Kazakhstan and outside of Kazakhstan, participation in educational/job fairs, conferences/seminars, establishing the cooperation with mentioned organizations.

Providing information support to all potential applicants in Almaty, all regions of Kazakhstan and outside trough telephone calls, direct mail, e-mail

Ensuring the organization of the following EMBA events: Open House Day, Information sessions, Round Tables, Seminars/Workshops, Graduation Ceremony and etc.

Renewal of all information on recruitment campaigns in Almaty and other regions of Kazakhstan and outside, etc. at KIMEP’s website. Manage EMBA web page.

Preparing trip reports and analysis of recruitment trips on a regular basis.

Performing to other reporting functions within the competence covered

Organizing logistics for conferences, workshops, meetings and other events as required.

Working with Executive MBA Alumni with the aim to involve them in recruitment campaigns, provide with all detailed information and support.

Participation in annual Educational Exhibitions and educational events in Almaty and regions as planned in accordance with EEC strategic plan

Developing the budget of recruitment campaign of EMBA

Coordinating data collection on potential candidates to all EEC programs.

Composing and sending of Information Letters to the Administration of Educational Departments, Universities in Almaty and other regions of Kazakhstan and outside on behalf of KIMEP University and Head of EEC.

Other tasks or special projects needed, and assigned by the Head of EEC

Is the primarily and responsible person for recruitment, sales, and  advertisement of the EEC programs

Key deliverables:

Maintaining and brining the EMBA Cohorts in any region (16-20 students/per year)

Maintaining and brining the EMBA Cohorts in Almaty (16-20 students/per year)

Maintaining and bringing the PreMBA and MiniMBA Cohorts – any region (16-20 students/per year)

To maintain and update social media on a weekly basis.

To bring guest speakers for EMBA Modules and arrange high profile visit for EEC.

To arrange corporate/company visits for the deputy director and Associate Dean. (At least 1-2 per month)

To make sure EMBA and other EEC Programs take part in Educational Exhibitions.

To make sure all the promotional materials including the website is up to date.

To prepare and implement a Marketing and Sales Plan for EEC.

To prepare and distribute a Monthly Newsletter for EEC to the stakeholders and EMBA Alumni Association.

To maintain the database of Alumni Association of EMBA for sharing marketing material and Newsletter.

To arrange one corporate event for EEC (once a year).


Minimum Qualifications:

  • A masters' degree,
  • Travel ability,
  • Fluent English, Russian, fluent
  • 3 years of progressive responsibilities and 2 years of demonstrated recruiting success.
  • Minimum five years relevant to the position experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluent or Spoken Kazakh is an advantage
