Job Description
AIM
Aim is to support the implementation and effective deployment of Kiabi’s chemical management strategy within the supply chain.
The Chemical Engineer ensures the proper application of chemical specifications and regulations, supports suppliers in managing chemical compliance, and acts as a key operational link between suppliers and the Chemical Manager in France.
This role contributes to product health and safety, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and Kiabi’s CSR commitments.
MISSIONS
CHEMICAL COMPLIANCE & SPECIFICATIONS
Ensure the effective implementation of Kiabi chemical requirements, including Restricted Substance List (RSL), Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL).
Train and support suppliers on Kiabi chemical requirements, procedures, and guidelines.
Ensure chemical requirements are fully understood and correctly applied at factory level.
SUPPLIER SUPPORT & CHEMICAL NON-COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT
Support suppliers in case of chemical non-compliance
Follow up on corrective actions and assess their effectiveness.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of suppliers’ chemical management systems.
INTERFACE WITH FRANCE CHEMICAL TEAM
Act as the main operational contact for chemical topics between suppliers and Chemical Manager based in France.
CHEMICAL AUTO-CONTROL & TESTING COORDINATION
Support the organization and follow-up of chemical auto-control plan
Support analysis of chemical test results and follow-up actions when needed.
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 CERTIFICATION SUPPORT
Check OEKO-TEX® certificates from suppliers
Verify validity and consistency of the certificates
Identify gaps and support suppliers in achieving conformity when necessary
Qualifications
PROFILE OF THE HOLDER
BAC +4/5, Quality engineer, chemical engineer, HSE engineer
minimum 5 years relevant work experience
Fluent English – mastery of technical vocabulary

- Training and experience:
University graduate; knowledge of labor and social compliance in China; minimum 5 years relevant working experience
- Soft Skills:
- Positive attitude, self-motivated and able to drive results
- High ethical standards
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and coordinating skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
- High proficiency in written/spoken Chinese (Mandarin) and English
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to China
