Medical Technologist

Summary:

Performs, interprets and evaluates routine and complex diagnostic procedures applying the principles, theories and techniques of clinical laboratory sciences. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy, objectives, and initiatives.

Requirements:

-B.S. Medical Technology or Related Science or Equivalent

-New York State License as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist

-Previous experience as a generalist preferred

Knowledge of current medical terminology and full range of laboratory tests and equipment. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with medical staff, patients and staff. Strong problem solving abilities. Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required.
