KAEFER Integrated Services Pty Ltd are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for experienced personal to join our Operations team for Local South Australia only.

Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for:

 

  • Preparation of Project Work scope broken down to discrete work plans and packages (in-house & Subcontracts)
  • Preparation of specific project procedures, method statements etc
  • Project / work scopes material take off prepared, material requisitions raised, material deliveries expedited through vendors and / or Subcontractor(s). 
  • Preparation of project estimates
  • Monitoring the revisions to drawings and updating work scope document. Initiating and expediting additional materials to suit revisions of drawings.
  • Monitoring changes to the contracted scopes of work and initiating notifications.
  • Initiating site queries / technical queries / engineering queries / request for waivers to client for any clarifications / additional information / waiver to specification.
  • Preparation of progress back up to support invoicing to client.
  • Co-ordinate with the quality personnel assigned to the project to ensure that all work is being performed in accordance with the respective quality plans and that all necessary inspection and certification documentation are available for the final documentation package.
  • Follow up and monitor day-to-day activities across fabrication and construction site inclusive of productivity and precise record keeping.
  • Assist Project Manager as necessary.
  • Co-ordination and compilation of the project lessons learned and close out reports.

Essential requirements:  

  • The ideal candidate will have 5 years minimum working experience within the steel fabrication, mineral processing fixed plant maintenance or construction. You will be confident in the skills of Project Engineering and have demonstrated experience in engineering in both construction and maintenance environments.
  • Structural engineering background.
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Current Drivers Licence (manual);
  • Proficient in the use of computer based software, particularly the Microsoft Office Package;
  • A meticulous attention to detail, particularly with analysing and interpreting data.
  • Able to work under pressure, multi-task, together with the capacity to plan and prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with our internal clients.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
