Job Description

Imagine if you had clear product requirements, unlimited access to your customers, a blank slate to start from, robust APIs at your disposal, AND a sunsetting-but-stable version of the 1.0 software in place.

Your Job is to build version 2.0 of our Enterprise Grade IoT Management System

If you are a creative, opinionated, talented, individual contributor, this job just might be your dream job!  K4Connect is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to re-design and re-write our primary internal tool, K4Ops.  The 1.0 version has enabled us to provision, install, manage, and maintain thousands of apartments across the country…2.0 needs to enable us to scale to hundreds of thousands!

Think of a web-first, role-based, highly-scalable tool that does everything from SSO management; device templating, provisioning and installing; single-user customization; device control and maintenance…and so much more.  Your customers are our Operations, Support, and Dev Ops teams who use K4Ops to make all the magic of our flagship product, K4Community work. While this is not enough, take the same feature set to Customers to enable them do it by themselves.

Position Responsibilities:

As the Senior Full Stack Developer for K4Ops, you will be responsible for:

  • Ownership of the product from design through delivery

  • Architecting, Documenting, and Prioritizing Requirements of 2.0

  • Building a Roadmap for Development of 2.0, including realistic and aggressive milestones

  • Architecting, Building and Maintaining 2.0

  • Maintaining the current functionality of 1.0 in parallel

  • Creating a product that is a clear differentiator in the Enterprise Smart Home space, within and outside of Senior Living

Position Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience with Full Stack development

  • Excellent Javascript skills - Node.js & React

  • Experience using noSQL/SQL data stores

  • Familiar with a security-first/privacy-first approach to design/development

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in an agile environment

  • Comfortable participating in team and individual code & design reviews, and helping team members continuously improve skills

  • A team player

  • Experience with latest productivity tools such as Git, Jira/Asana.

  • Problem solving skills

Desired Requirements

  • Experience w/ AWS or similar cloud technologies.

  • Experience with developing microservices

  • Experience working on a CI/CD environment.
