At Junior Adventures Group (JAG), we're looking for an enthusiastic Activity Leader / Playworker to help create unforgettable experiences for children aged 4–11 before and after the school day.

From football and team games to arts & crafts, creative challenges, and structured play, every day is packed with fun, laughter, and opportunities to make a real difference.

🕒 Working Hours

Monday to Friday | Term Time Only

Breakfast Club: 07:30 – 08:35
After School Club: 15:15 – 18:00

Total contracted hours: 19 hours 10 minutes per week

This is a split-shift role, giving you the middle of the day free for family commitments, study, hobbies, or simply some well-earned downtime.

There may also be opportunities to work additional hours during school holidays through our Holiday Club provision.

As an Activity Leader / Playworker, you'll help create a safe, exciting, and inclusive environment where children can learn, play, and thrive.

Working alongside a friendly and supportive team, you'll deliver engaging activities that encourage creativity, confidence, teamwork, and plenty of smiles.

No two days are ever the same!

🌈 What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities including multi-sports, arts & crafts, games, and creative play
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive
  • Supervise and engage children with enthusiasm and care
  • Set up and tidy away equipment and activity areas
  • Prepare healthy snacks and refreshments
  • Complete sign-in and sign-out procedures accurately
  • Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and company policies at all times
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding childcare experiences

Experience We'd Love to See

Experience is welcome but not essential. We'd love to hear from candidates with backgrounds in:

  • Playwork
  • Childcare
  • Sports Coaching
  • Teaching Assistant roles
  • Youth Work
  • Drama, Dance, or Performing Arts
  • Education
  • Holiday Camps

🛡 Safeguarding

This role requires compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Successful applicants will be required to:

  • Provide a childcare reference where applicable
  • Undergo an Enhanced DBS check
