At Junior Adventures Group (JAG), we’re looking for a passionate and organised Breakfast & After School Club Manager to lead our wraparound care provision in Bristol.
As Club Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the club, creating a safe, exciting, and enriching environment where children aged 4–11 can play, learn, and thrive. You’ll lead and support a team, build strong relationships with children, families, and the school, and deliver outstanding childcare experiences every day.

🕒 Working Hours
Monday to Friday | Term Time Only
Breakfast Club: 07:30 – 09:00
After School Club: 15:00 – 18:00
Total contracted hours: 22 hours 30 minutes per week
This is a split-shift role, giving you a break during the middle of the day for personal commitments, study, hobbies, or family time.
There is also the opportunity to increase your hours during school holidays, with potential availability of up to 40 hours per week.
School Holiday Hours:
08:30 – 17:30, Monday to Friday
(Excluding weekends and bank holidays)
🚀 About the Role
As Club Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the Breakfast & After School Club, ensuring children receive high-quality care in a safe, fun, and welcoming environment.
You’ll lead by example, supporting your team to deliver engaging activities, maintain high standards, and create a club environment where children feel happy, confident, and included.
🌈 What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and support the daily operation of the Breakfast & After School Club
- Manage, motivate, and support your team to deliver excellent childcare
- Plan and coordinate engaging activities including sports, games, arts & crafts, and creative play
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, colleagues, and the school
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and company procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain accurate records including attendance, incidents, and operational documentation
- Support positive behaviour management and promote children’s confidence and wellbeing
- Monitor resources, equipment, and the overall club environment
- Work collaboratively with the wider JAG team and central operations

You may have experience as a:
- Club Manager
- Playworker
- Childcare Practitioner
- Teaching Assistant
- Sports Coach
- Activity Leader
- Nursery Practitioner
- Youth Worker
- Education Professional
Previous leadership or management experience within childcare, education, wraparound care, or a similar environment would be desirable.

🛡 Safeguarding
This role requires compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
Successful applicants will be required to:

- Undergo an Enhanced DBS check
