Job Description
Passionate about working with primary school age children? Whether you’re an experienced Educator, have some babysitting experience, or are exploring a career in childcare for the first time, THIS is the role for you!
Our OSHC service Helping Hands in East Lismore is looking for two dedicated Educators to join our team in delivering fun and engaging programs for primary school children. We have two permanent part-time roles, offering a minimum of 8 hours and 6 hours per week, with opportunities for extra hours during the school holidays.
You'll work split shifts Monday – Friday across the services opening hours of:
- Morning: 6:30am – 8:45am (Rise then Shine Program)
- Afternoon: 2:45pm – 6:00pm (Stay and Play Program)
- School Holidays: 6:00am – 6:00pm (Holiday HQ Program)

About Wyrallah Road Helping Hands
Located within a beautiful school community, Wyrallah Road Helping Hands is a small pack up and pack down service with a genuinely supportive and caring team. The service prides itself on strong relationships, teamwork, and creating a warm and inclusive environment for children, families, and educators alike.
About the Role
Working alongside a supportive team, you’ll help create a welcoming and enriching environment for children aged 5-12 years old. Your role will include:
Facilitating exciting, child-led activities, including STEM, sports, cooking, arts & crafts – whatever you and the kids love!
Building strong relationships with children, families, and the school community
Collaborating with a team of skilled Educators to ensure a safe, fun, and engaging program
Qualifications
Who We’re Looking For
No formal experience or qualification? No problem! We’ll provide all the training you need. We’re looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with children and making a positive impact
- Communicates clearly and confidently
- Works well in a team and aspires to grow into a leadership role
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) a National Police Check and a Working with Children check
- Has Australian work rights
