Job Description
Helping Hands Maroochydore is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Coordinator to join our growing Helping Hands service. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you’ll shape culture, drive quality, and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and your team.
This is a permanent, part-time role (36 hours per week) working across split shifts, Monday to Friday, including 6 hours of dedicated non‑contact administrative time to support your success.
Service hours include:
- Rise Then Shine: 6:30am – 9:00am
- Stay and Play: 2:30pm – 6:00pm
- School Holidays: Block shifts between 6:30am – 6:00pm

About your new role
As a Coordinator, you’ll be leading a team of passionate Educators and overseeing an engaging before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. This role is all about leadership:
- Design and lead a vibrant, child‑centred program, filled with engaging experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts.
- Take ownership of rosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration, with time allocated to do this well.
- Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported, motivated, and proud of the program they deliver.
- Partner with families, the school community, and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
- Be supported by experienced Regional Managers and a dedicated Support Office so you’re never doing it alone.
Qualifications
If you have a passion for supporting children, we’d love to hear from you! Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Achieved or working towards Diploma qualification in a relevant field, or at least two years of full-time study towards an ACECQA-approved qualification
- National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
- A natural leader who enjoys guiding a team and helping others grow.
- Strong communication skills—you’ll be leading by example!
- A team player who inspires others and encourages growth.
- You have (or are willing to obtain) a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Australian work rights.
