Job Description
Our Outside School Hours Care service, Stafford State School Helping Hands, is looking for a passionate Assistant Coordinator to assist with managing the service and providing engaging programs for our primary-age children.
This is a permanent part-time opportunity offering 20 hours per week to assist with leading a team of passionate Educators. You'll work Monday to Friday in split shifts across our programs:
☀️ Rise then Shine Program – Morning shifts (6:30am – 8:45am)
🎒 Stay and Play Program – Afternoon shifts (2:45pm – 6:00pm)
🏖️ Holiday HQ Program – Extra hours available during school holidays (6:30am – 6:00pm)

About the role
Get ready for an exciting opportunity to co-manage a dynamic team of Educators, where you’ll experience the perfect blend of support and leadership growth! You’ll lead a vibrant before and after-school program at a primary school, guiding children aged 5-12 through fun and enriching activities. With the backing of a dedicated state-specific office and the mentorship of regional managers who visit regularly, you’ll be empowered to shine in your role while developing your skills as a leader. - Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
- Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
- Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration
Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
✔️ Enjoys working with children and making a positive impact
✔️ Communicates clearly and confidently
✔️ Works well in a team and aspires to grow into a leadership role
✔️ Holds (or is willing to obtain) a National Police Check and a Working with Children check
✔️ Has Australian work rights
✔️ Obtained or studying towards a relevant qualification to work with kids in OSHC per ACECQA
