Make a difference. Have a blast. Love your job.
Do you have the energy of a superhero, the creativity of an artist, and a passion for working with children? Join our team as a Childcare Activity Leader and turn ordinary mornings and afternoons into unforgettable adventures!
At Junior Adventures Group, we’re not just childcare, we’re champions of fun! From football to face painting, scavenger hunts to snack time, you'll bring smiles, laughter, and energy to our Breakfast & After School Clubs for children aged 4–11.
This role is split shift, meaning you'll work mornings and afternoons, with a break in between (great for studying, hobbies, family, or even a nap!). You’ll also have the opportunity to increase your hours during Holiday Club seasons and Lunchtime Cover.
What you'll do day-to-day:
- Deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities like multi-sports, arts & crafts, group games, and creative play.
- Set up engaging play spaces and keep things safe, clean, and awesome.
- Supervise children with care and enthusiasm, ensuring every child feels welcome, safe, and included.
- Prepare snacks and manage sign-in/out processes with a friendly face and attention to detail.
- Work split shifts: 7:30–9:00am and 3:00–6:00pm, perfect for work-life balance or those seeking part-time fun!
- Be a team player who can also take the lead when needed.
What’s in it for you?
- 24/7 wellbeing support via Health Assured
- Discounted childcare if you’ve got little ones
- Paid training + regular personal & professional development
- Family-friendly, no-weekend hours
- Refer-a-friend rewards
- A warm, welcoming, and energetic team
What we’re looking for:
- Someone who loves working with children and brings a positive, can-do attitude
- A creative thinker who knows how to turn an ordinary afternoon into a magical experience
- A team player who’s also confident running activities and managing a group
- Bonus points if you have experience in teaching, coaching, childcare, or youth work (but not essential, personality goes a long way!)
We’re JAG — and we believe every child deserves to feel safe, inspired, and full of joy!
Every day, our passionate teams across the UK make a real impact in children's lives. If you're ready to help kids learn, grow, and have fun, we'd love to meet you.
Please note: This role requires compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. You must provide two references, one from your most recent employer and the other from a childcare setting (if applicable). We will conduct a DBS check on your behalf, so please prepare the correct documentation. You must meet these requirements to be eligible for the hiring process.
