The Sr. Data Engineer will play a leadership role in developing JumpCrew’s data infrastructure and integrations with its next generation publishing platform and AdTech. This person must be able to both dig into the details and help to develop our fast-growing organization’s ambitious technology vision.
Major Duties & Responsibilities...
Lead JumpCrew’s data architecture and infrastructure function
Collaborate with product leaders, web and application developers on product ideation, development, and roadmaps
Architect and build core datasets
Implement efficient ETL processes
Translate business requirements into projects and prioritize based on impact
Evangelize data architecture and ETL best practices
Work with 3rd party data sources and integrations with multiple JumpCrew proprietary technologies
Skills / Abilities and Knowledge...
Significant experience with the following is ideal:
MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL
Complex Data Migration and integrations
Working within an Agile software development environment
Writing and interpreting stored procedures and queries for use in web applications
Front-end user requirements
Database management (permissions, recovery, security, monitoring and performance)
API’s, Webhook and automation platforms
3+ years’ work experience as a Database Engineer/Developer
Excellent analytical and organization skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
Enthusiasm to learn proactively the latest digital media development techniques and methods.
A problem-solving attitude.
BS degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
