Position: Open Stack Development 
Location: San Jose, CA 
Duration: 6+ Months 

Client Notes: we are looking for a developer / Architect who did the system level architecture and development in OPENSTACK and DOCKER platforms

Responsibilities: 
• Design specifications and write software for OpenStack including new features and customizations for real world customers, covering all OpenStack projects (Neutron, Nova, Cinder ….), as well as Fuel OpenStack Installer project 
• Design ways to enable resiliency and availability for legacy enterprise applications that move to a cloud platform like OpenStack 
• Share knowledge with other engineering teams and product management 
• Develop tooling and automation to test the resiliency and availability of highly distributed OpenStack projects and infrastructure components 
• Represent engineering in the OpenStack community and in front of our customers 

Qualifications: 
• Strong experience in distributed software design and architecture 
• Strong Python programming skills 
• Experience deploying and developing OpenStack or other cloud management frameworks 
• Experience in Load balancing and cloud computation project integration 
• Solid Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills 
• Good understanding of Linux networking concepts 
• Cloud STB domain experience with OpenStack 
• Virtualization of CPE’s components in Cloud 
• STB applications deployment in Docker / OpenStack 
• STB knowledge with encoder, decoders, transcoding and etc., 

Will be a plus: 
• Experience with STB domain Java enterprise applications and porting/bridging them into cloud and/or virtualized platforms 
• First-hand experience with configuration management and deployment tools ( Docker ) 
• Experience with databases and message brokers (Oracle 11g, WebLogic, ActiveMQ, Springs ) 
• Experience with configuring, customizing, and extending monitoring tools.
