Responsibilities: 

Architect and build highly scalable applications and tools for the effective management of the Big Data platform 

Work closely with engineering and operations teams to collaborate on product design and features 

Analyze and improve stability, efficiency, and scalability of the platform 

Perform technology evaluation and prototype ideas quickly 

Requirements: 

Lead development experience with Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, HBase, Kafka 

Lead development experience with Java, Scala, Ruby or other programming languages 

Strong Unix and shell scripting skills 

Experience with ElasticSearch, Kibana, and Web technologies 

Experience with relational databases like MySQL 

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Great team player 

Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience
