Qualifications: 

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience. 

* 5 or more years of experience in a Software Engineer, Software Developer, and/or Programmer role using Java with a focus on backend/database, and Big Data solutions 

* Demonstrated skill across Spring, Hibernate, Eclipse, Lucene, Solr, SOAP, REST, and social media APIs 

* Previous experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL RDBMS environments and their scaling challenges. Previous experience using AWS, cloud and elastic storage 

* Demonstrated object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns 

* Demonstrated skills across Native Language Processing (NLP), data mining, and social media data mining 

* Demonstrated expedience delivering real-time massive-scale heterogeneous distributed database management systems and demonstrated skill across ETL processes 

* Deep familiarity with a combination of open source data, cloud based, big data tools 

* Experience throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in an Agile environment 

* Experience working in a Linux environment
