Detailed job description: 

Design and Develop Big Data software systems for complex data analytics requirements, including data processing, analytics and Reporting. 

Design and Develop software applications and tools to process and present high volumes of data in the most efficient way. 

Adopt best engineering practices and develop high quality maintainable code. 

Evaluate alternatives, process requirements, and collaborate with rest of the team for effective solutions. 

Deliver projects on-time and to specification with quality. 

Work with the Architects, BA and users to define and ingest data from various data sources, model the data as appropriate and process them efficiently. 

Experience - Qualifications - and Education: 

At least 2+ years of hands on experience in Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Pig , Map Reduce. 

Experience building distributed, scalable, reliable and high throughput data pipelines; message queues that ingest and process data at scale and in real-time; and high performance batch data processing is expected. 

Experience in implementing and sustaining Engineering best practices 

Experience with other related tools and technologies in Hadoop ecosystems, like JSON, NoSQL, Cloudera distribution, etc. is desired. 

A solid understanding of OOP and distributed systems. 

Excellent problem solving skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills.
