In-depth knowledge of Security including Cisco ASA 5500s, IDS/IDP technology, Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco IOS ZFW. 

Demonstrated understanding of L2/L3 configurations, STP, SMTP, LDAP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP 

Proven experience with Enterprise business and large-scale LAN/WAN environments, network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices. 

Excellent analytical skills and the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions 

Excellent organization skills including the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing environment. 

Ability to express issues and communicate with various vendors and their operations personnel. 

VMware knowledge is a plus 

Understanding and be willing to work with change management and ITIL framework. 

CCNP/CCIE certification is highly desired 

EXPERIENCE: 

Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field and a minimum of 10 years hands-on experience with the specific technologies related to Switching, Routing, firewall, load balancing, and VPN technologies 

Expert-level working experience with Cisco and IOS including configuration and 

troubleshooting. 

Expert-level working experience with Dell Force10 switches 

Experience with F5 Load Balancers 

Knowledgeable and experienced in various network technologies, services, and protocols that are typical of a large enterprise network including BGP, OSPF, and HSRP/VRRP 

Knowledge of carrier based technologies such as TDM, MPLS, and Metro-E circuits 

Experience with Wireless LAN Controllers, LWAPP’s, Meraki, and 802.1x, PKI, EAP, TLS technologies
