Strong demonstrated experience (5+ years) developing Java applications or services with database (SQL or NoSQL) backends is essential. Experience developing large distributed systems with a focus on performance is preferred. Familiarity with the Spring framework is a plus. 

Experience with and knowledge of MongoDB development, preferably in Java. A MongoDB Developer certification is a plus. 

Knowledge of DB performance/scaling concepts and tuning best practices. 

Experience or knowledge of Big Data and Analytics technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Storm is a plus. 

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field is required. 

Strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills 

Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment with a broad scope of responsibilities 

Ability to work seamlessly as part of a multi-site, multicultural development team
