Job Description
Key Accountabilities
• Work in cross-functional team to create and evaluate the project designs
• Provide human factors across the product lifecycle including defining client and user needs, developing user and workplace profiles and usage scenarios, task analysis, requirements specification, generating design concepts, creating prototypes and graphical user interfaces, conducting usability tests, analyzing user errors.
• Use ingenuity and creativity to develop interaction design solutions to complex, system-wide usability problems
• Analyze and optimize developmental prototypes and provide usability assessments
• Plan and conduct end-user evaluations of product concepts, data analyses, document evaluation methods/results, and present design recommendations to the project team
• Work closely with project stakeholders and business analysts to understand complex business problems and to define solutions
• Provide feedback and act as a role model for junior members of the Human Factors Engineering team
• Generates presentation solutions (workflow, information and navigation architecture, layout, taxonomy, wireframing and templates)
• Play an active role in defining enterprise standards for Human Factors
Skills
• Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language and vice versa
• Experience with and knowledgeable of a range of a range of Usability Testing methods
• Proficient in web and print design, with specific expertise with web-based applications within Adobe Creative Suite (CS6)
• Experience with methodologies such as Iterative development, Agile, etc.
• Can conceptualize innovative, simple solutions to complex interaction and design problems
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate actively and proactively with others in a cross-functional team
• Self-motivated and self-managing
• Detail-oriented, energetic self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently
Education
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Graphic Design, Mechanical Engineering, Psychology, or related discipline/specialty in Human Factors
Language Skills
• English but additional languages are a plus
Minimum Work Experience
• 4+ years of experience
