An exciting business is looking for a Sustainability Leader to join their sustainability department and help their clients with sustainability reporting, systems, and disclosure.

Your day to day responsibilities:

Team management & project management

• Lead a team of sustainability consultants 

• Manage resource, workforce planning and project management and planning

• Manage consulting projects for clients from start to finish

• Manage the team, inspire the team, coach and mentor

• Ensure projects are of high quality and standard

Subject Matter Expertise:

• Work with clients on sustainability ratings, sustainability mechanisms and related sustainability disclosures (Ecovadis, B corporation) and sustainability ESG disclosures

Customer facing work:

• Be the main point of contact for the clients

• Build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring good level of service

• Maintain work plans, schedules, budgets and deadline

• Ensure excellent client satisfaction 

Commercial Expansion and Business Development

• Increase client business with current clients and new clients

• Identify new avenues of business

• Contribute as a thought leader and position the company as a subject matter expert in sustainability

• Attend industry events, create webinars, training sessions and attend related associations

• Create partnerships with relevant opportunities to increase footprint in the target market 

Your background:

What We’re Looking For:

• Extensive experience in ESG performance, EcoVadis, B corporation and other assessment ratings and reporting standards, ideally at least 5 years of experience as a sustainability consultant

• Team management experience: substantial leadership experience and desire to coach, mentor and inspire others, ideally you have managed sustainability consultants and been the project lead 

• Education: Related education in sustainability or related topics

• Languages: English and Dutch
