Research & Program Manager - NewGen Initiatives

  • Contract

Company Description

NewGen Initiatives (NGI), a startup nonprofit, is a humanitarian innovation lab focusing on researching and developing programs to address resource barriers for refugee & host communities through the lens of social entrepreneurship. NGI is seeking a Research & Program Manager.

Given the early stage of this organization, you can have an immense impact on shaping it. This involves overseeing research efforts around context, landscape, and innovation as a method to address resource barriers for communities, native and refugee, in Lebanon.

This role involves recruiting, onboarding, and managing interns and research fellows within our internship program. We hope to recruit US-based and Lebanon-based students for this program to allow for an exchange of ideas and collaboration. We regularly meet and collaborate with local and international NGOs, university institutions, technology/banking companies, multilateral organizations, and communities.

You would be managing program operations, workflows, developing partnerships, and more to our mission. Join us in our effort to address the critical challenges faced by communities while fostering innovation and leadership!

Our Location: NGI is legally US-based but with a complete focus on Lebanon, hiring Lebanon-based staff and engaging with Lebanon-based communities and organizations, to understand best practices of supporting the communities. We believe in understanding and supporting existing efforts while collaborating to develop long-term methods of addressing resource inequities. This position is remote.

Our Approach: NGI initiates its work through a fellowship program for students. Fellows partner with refugee-focused nonprofits, conduct research, and develop entrepreneurial initiatives to address local resource challenges while collaborating with local partners.
