The hiring organisation is a non governmental organisation aiming at facilitating the professional integration of Lebanese students and supporting them on their first steps on the path of entrepreneurship and employment.

Simplon.co is the world’s largest digital inclusive bootcamps network which has trained more than 25 000 job seekers to digital occupations in more than 20 countries with a 80% employment rate.

Our vision is that offering free of charge and intensive vocational training programmes to the occupations of the growing digital sector enables the employability of underrepresented job seekers in the digital sector, while meeting the HR needs of businesses with an inclusive approach.

Together, our objective is to offer a free of charge training programme to digital skills and web development for unemployed Lebanese people, with a focus on women as well as students or graduates undergoing career changes. This one-year project is composed of two cycles : 

• the “Hackeuses” training   :a 6-week training course to discover the digital professions and the fundamentals of computer programming, for 25 women, focusing on career guidance and work on transversal skills;

followed by : 

• the “Web & Web Mobile Development bootcamp” :  a 6-month vocational training programme for 25 men and women willing to become Full-stack Web Developers, without academic or technical prerequisites, allowing them to enter the labour market directly at the end of the training.

As a trainer, your role is to accompany the development of trainees’ skills, in order to prepare them for the practice of their profession in business and for their future interactions with their colleagues and customers.

By joining the team, you will : 

• Support our trainees to acquire professional skills
• Offer support that is adapted to the group of trainees
• Imagine, motivate and continuously share pedagogical content.

You train your trainees through practice, on real projects, through active pedagogy.

You are involved in all stages of training, from the selection of trainees to graduation : 

Prepare the training : 

• Participate in the selection of the trainees
• Produce pedagogical content from templates available on our internal tool

Facilitate the training :

• Facilitate project delivery and monitor trainees’ learning 
• Develop trainees’ tech and soft skills

Evaluate/ value the skills development of the trainees :

• Assess skills development and track learning progress for each trainees
• Identify and address individual learning challenges
• Support learners in the preparation of their skills certification project

Preparing trainees for employment :

• Support each trainees in the realization of a professional project
• Encourage trainees to meet with the digital professional community

Required skills : 

• Ability and desire to pass on skills and your technology passion to beginners and prepare them for the work environment
• Passionate about web development, you master web languages (front end & back end), especially HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, and at least one back-end language
• You master the creation and configuration of websites made with CMS 
• You are familiar with one or more PaaS CMS solutions. For example, Drupal, Wordpres.org 
• You are familiar with versioning principles in Git
• You have knowledge in agile methodologies
• You are at ease with : 
  • Linux/Unix system and commands
  • Professional social media
  • One or more project management tools
  • SEO issues, etc.
• You master English & ideally French

Required experience :

• Minimum of 2 years of business or freelance experience on technologies such as but not limited to: HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, ES5, ES6, JSON, Ajax, JQuery, Bootstrap, ReactJS (or Angular), Wordpress, PHP, MySQL, Laravel, APIs.
• You have experience with the development and deployment of static websites
• You have a first experience with CMS solutions headless type Forestry 

• Experience in vocational training is a plus but is not essential. If you have accompanied young people, interns and you want to pass on your knowledge, let us know!
