ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Finance Manager; you have several jobs:

1. Obsess over your customer’s success : you wake up asking yourself “what are my CEOs worried about?”, “how can I add value to their companies, today?”. You obsess. Every single day.

2. Know every number in every account in their Trial Balance: we mean “every”. No account is left unturned. You know why some balance went up or down, last month, quarter and year. By heart. 

3. Memorize all KPIs equations, data sources: You know what each KPI means, what drives it, what it means and how different KPI trends mean

4. Connect the story behind the KPIs to the CEOs concerns: You bring back your analysis to the CEO, often on a dashboard, always asking “so what?”, a minimum of three times. To distill the essence of your work to three key take-aways that the CEO will be able to make decisions on.

REQUIREMENTS

What we're looking for, in short, is someone with the following attributes: passionate about financial planning and analysis, exceptional with numbers and digital tools, and able to manage a team of professionals well-rooted in entrepreneurship. Ideally, you will have the following: 

• Bachelor degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or a related field.

• On path to acquiring a CMA, CFA, CPA or other professional designation. 

• 5 years of experience working in financial services, preferably with startups and entrepreneurs. Prior experience in fundraising or working with investors is a plus. 

• Familiar with Excel, Quickbooks, Xero, G-suite and interested in exploring the financial ins and outs of new business models and sectors, and tech-savvy enough to learn new technologies autonomously.
