Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for testing the Mobile app (on both iOS and Android)

    • Some web testing experience is a bonus as well

  • Build, maintain and execute clear, well written, testing plans covering:

    • System Test (Sanity Testing, and Smoke Testing)

    • Regression Test

    • Performance Test

  • Clearly identify and recognize bug patterns and business logic errors

  • Document repro steps of bugs for developers to be able to fix bugs effectively

  • Define a path for exploratory testing, and execute upon it between releases for both existing products/modules and upcoming ones

  • Manage your time well between releases and within each Sprint to organize their test plans, do exploratory testing, follow up on bugs that haven’t been resolved

  • Be aware of upcoming major iOS and Android releases, and understand the changes made

    • Coordinate with our development team to ensure that these changes either do not impact our application or, if they do, that adjustments are being implemented

Notes:

  • This is a full-time contractual position

    • The contract may be renewed 

  • You will work remote 100%

  • You will be expected to work based on our HQ's operating hours (North America, GMT-4 EDT)

Qualifications

  • Specialized higher education and/or significant experience in Quality Assurance

  • Highly experienced testing and documenting their test results for various platforms

  • Very strong analytical and written communication skills in English 

  • Able to discuss and help developers determine the root cause of uncovered problems and bugs

  • Experience with test case and test case execution software such as TestRail

  • Highly rigorous in your work methodology

  • Capacity to quickly learn and get familiar with the ins and outs of multiple interconnected systems

  • (Bonus) experience testing REST API responses and automating your tests in solutions like POSTMAN
